Meet Us
Based in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, Mind and Environment provides a range of Mental Health Services. We take pride in our commitment to offer a safe and nurturing environment for mental health counselling and our training courses. We believe its vital to keep conversations about mental health open and constructive to be able to spread awareness and reduce the stigma in businesses and our greater society.
Mind and Environment has a highly trained team of therapists who specialise in a wide range of mental and emotional issues, including Stress Management, Anxiety and Depression care, Grief Counselling, Eating Disorders, Psychological Trauma and much more. Through our unique approach that incorporates mindfulness and nature, our clients can truly connect with themselves, their innermost feelings and the world around them.
We also have qualified trainers who focus on increasing awareness in businesses by running training courses. Our training courses differ to most other official mental health training as they focus specifically on issues in the workplace that can arise and legislation around it. Businesses have a legal duty to protect employees from mental health risks in the workplace. We want to help businesses facilitate this and, in doing so, help make the workforce more productive.
We are confident in our ability to make a tangible, positive difference in the lives of our clients, businesses and our wider society. Get in touch to see how we can help you.

Hello, my name is Sam, and welcome to the beginning of your mental health journey. Taking the step to explore counselling can feel intimidating, but simply by seeking support you have already taken a courageous step towards change. I have been trained as an integrative counsellor, which means I draw from a variety of approaches, such as person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive and behavioural therapies. In my sessions, I offer a non-judgemental space where I would like to start by getting to know you as an individual, listen to your story of what brought you to counselling and then collaboratively decide in which direction to work together.
I have worked with clients with a variety of mental health issues, including loss and bereavement; childhood and sexual trauma; anxiety and depression; low confidence and self-worth issues. Where appropriate, I also aim to introduce coping techniques such as mindfulness and grounding techniques to help to regulate emotions, and to encourage autonomy and resilience. I see myself as a friendly, empathetic person who will walk beside you through difficult times and celebrate your growth along the way.
