Meet Us

Based in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, Mind and Environment provides a range of Mental Health Services. We take pride in our commitment to offer a safe and nurturing environment for mental health counselling and our training courses. We believe its vital to keep conversations about mental health open and constructive to be able to spread awareness and reduce the stigma in businesses and our greater society.

Mind and Environment has a highly trained team of therapists who specialise in a wide range of mental and emotional issues, including Stress Management, Anxiety and Depression care, Grief Counselling, Eating Disorders, Psychological Trauma and much more. Through our unique approach that incorporates mindfulness and nature, our clients can truly connect with themselves, their innermost feelings and the world around them.

We also have qualified trainers who focus on increasing awareness in businesses by running training courses. Our training courses differ to most other official mental health training as they focus specifically on issues in the workplace that can arise and legislation around it. Businesses have a legal duty to protect employees from mental health risks in the workplace. We want to help businesses facilitate this and, in doing so, help make the workforce more productive.

We are confident in our ability to make a tangible, positive difference in the lives of our clients, businesses and our wider society. Get in touch to see how we can help you.

I am available for face to face sessions on:
Thursdays between 10am and 5 pm.

I am available for remote sessions on:
Wednesdays between 2pm and 5pm.

Hi, a very warm welcome.  My name is Eveleen. Whatever you need help and support with: because of infant loss, post loss pregnancy, stress from work or life challenges, body changes, peri/menopause, anxiety, depression, low confidence, relationship issues, trauma, grief … my work with you will be warm and caring, respectful and open minded, collaborative and always based on your needs. Together we’ll aim to find a better way forward.

It takes courage to seek counselling. Particularly when feeling low or vulnerable, it can be tough, but taking this first step is a sign of tapping into a healthy part of you. Therapy will take you on a path of better self care, compassion and understanding. Life throws all kinds of challenges at you, often when you least expect it. Past experiences or events in the present can cause anxiety or even derail your own feelings of value, self worth and perspective. Sometimes it’s not enough talking to family or friends about issues you may be experiencing.  You may need somebody to listen to you without judgment and who is fully trained.

As an integrative counsellor, I offer my services to help you cope with your struggles. To ensure you feel reassured, I provide a non-judgmental, respectful and safe space. I am passionate about nature, the healing effect of being outside and how our environment can be healing and have a positive impact on our wellbeing and mental health.  I can incorporate art into our session if you so wish, research shows it can increase wellbeing and self-compassion.  It can be helpful sometimes in sessions if you are struggling to express yourself.

Hello, my name is Jan. Contacting a therapist can sometimes feel daunting. I would like to dispel those feelings by offering a safe, confidential, and supportive space to help you to understand your thoughts and emotions. I studied counselling in mid-life inspired by bringing up my large family. I believe that my life skills and experiences have allowed me to develop as a counsellor and I consider myself to be friendly, understanding, and non-judgemental. The above skillset and involvement also enable me to be supportive of all my clients at whatever time of their lives they come to me.

I am trained as an integrative counsellor and specialise in supporting clients with complex trauma, addictions, sexual abuse, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation/thoughts, relationship, family issues and more. I offer face to face counselling in Colwyn Bay, and ‘Walk & Talk’ sessions. I am a great believer in the positivity of walking outdoors for both mind and body.

Hello, I am Rachel. Together, we will try to make sense of your needs and feelings. We will develop the steps and daily tools necessary to initiate positive changes in your life.

I am a person-centred counsellor and a trainee cognitive behavioural practitioner. I have experience working with clients who are struggling with a wide range of different issues including trauma, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, and relationship and work-related issues.

With my friendly and approachable demeanour, I provide a secure and encouraging environment where you can feel understood, heard, and less alone in your circumstances. A confidential space where you can be yourself and share without worrying about being judged, so that we may jointly explore your feelings and thoughts.

Hi there, I’m Callum, a dedicated advocate for mental health. With a diverse background in outdoor activities and IT consultancy/support, I’ve experienced first hand the high-stress environments and tight deadlines that can take a toll on one’s mental well-being.

Having faced my own mental health challenges and witnessed and helped friends and family navigating similar struggles, I embarked on a transformative career journey. Today, I’m fully committed to expanding the reach of Mental Health First Aid and raising awareness about this critical issue.

My journey has taken me across the globe, allowing me to work in diverse cultures and environments. Through this experience, I’ve seen the universal importance of mental health support.

I recognize the pressing mental health crisis in the UK, with services stretched thin and individuals in need. It’s my mission to leverage my skills and experiences to give back and make a difference. I firmly believe that by equipping individuals and organizations with the knowledge and tools to address mental health, we can create a more compassionate and resilient society.
