In 2018, the Health and Safety Executive updated its guidelines for workplace safety to address the importance of mental health. Employers are now required not only to provide regular First Aid At Work training, but also to consider Mental Health First Aid training. This means that there is a greater focus on prioritizing employee mental health within the workplace. By recognizing and managing mental health effectively, research suggests that employers can see a reduction of up to 30% in losses attributed to mental health illnesses.

And yet, a positive mental health workplace can make employees have in increase in confidence, self-esteem, judgement, ability to work with others, productivity, and an ability to fully concentrate (which often prevents costly mistakes or accidents in the workplace).
