Your professionalism, guidance, comfort and patience has been unwavering both during and in between our weekly sessions. I’d never really spoken to anyone about my thoughts and feelings before we started working together. Thank you for your constant reassurance and for providing me a safe, non-judgemental space to open up and be vulnerable. You found the perfect level of, and balance between; challenge, encouragement, and empathy. I was always grateful for the different ways and different resources you used to try and get me moving forward again. I felt your kindness in my lowest moments and I appreciated that you didn’t give up on me, even when it felt like I’d given up on myself.
I don’t quite know how to get across the impact of the support. Other than to say I’m not sure where, or if, I’d be without it; and I don’t say that lightly.
Transitioning to a new councillor was a really tough process for me. The support during this time, to make sure I was ok, went above and beyond what normally might be expected.
